Many decades ago, a dance movement came out of the East Coast & Exploded to the West.
It has become worlwide phenomenon. It has the ability to unite communities. Long after
it's notoriety, a society of Pioneers got together and set some foundations. Today, the internet can link everyone in a matters of second. So I decided to set the record as straight as possible and link everyone together to evolve this art to the next level of appreciation. This document is not a know all say all, but one humble step to spread the seeds of history and serve as a general starter guide through the confusion. Rather than keep people ignorant, and hating, eachother; teach the unknown & share your wealth of knowledge-that is the path to peace by really giving love. Only when you can teach it, can you truely say it is yours to share;) This dance has evolved into a very rich culture with a lot of traditions and history. We must acknowledge the past and move forward together to continue the fun & positivity of this movement.

Elements of a B-Boy/Girl Set.(Any order based on how you feel the music)
Key: Traditional(Textbook-The way it was done in the early beginings).
Understand: People are different & noone dances exactly the same. Each crew had their own way & style. Celebrate the difference that brings flavor rather than nit pick.
Starting from top & working your way to the ground to unleash the flavor, using transitions to smooth your changes in height levels.

1-Your ENTRANCE-Can be bold, or smooth
A)BlowUps(Instant Hype to the Crowd):
Flip/Slide or dive in
B)Style Character-Confident or cocky Strut in(Performing mode or Battle call out) Choose & set 
your temple to work or control the crowd.

2)Top Rocks/"TOPS"(Dancing upright on the top on your feet)-Do not confuse with UpRock"Uprocking(Entirely Different Dance)
A)Characters & Burns(Amuse the crowd or throw your opponent of their game
B)Power or Traditional B-Boy styles
C)Creative Orginal flavor encouraged;)
D)Mocking your oponent or calling out their moves by doing it(But you must add your own thing 
afterwards or you're just bitting).

3)Go Downs/Get Downs/Drops/"Hiting the Floor"
A)Slides, or Dives using head, knees, & elbow, etc.

4)FOOTWORK/"FOUNDATION"
A)Traditional Steps(6STEP,3STEP,BabyLove/12 sTEP, ETC).
B)Patterns & Threading

5)POWER(An Explosion-WHERE MOMENTUM CARRIES THE BODY)
A)TEXTBOOK: Flare,Windmill, 90's, & Air Tracks, ETC.
B)Invent some knew Moves(Your chance to unleash something knew to the table)

6)FREEZES, or STACKS(Series of Freezes continuously chained together to the beat)-Do it right 
& you've killed it.(Thesis-clip)

7)A Strong Finish!!
A)Spin out to a FREEZE
B)pOSES
C)cALL OUT or pass the flow to the next person by pointing em out if in a cypher.

8)"THE FRESH"/Original FLAVOR -The MOST IMPORTANT Thing stressed by OG's "BE Original"
A)Flip moves(Avoid BITTING-Because if you truely made it yours, you'll feel it & others will 
see the difference)
B)BE OFF THE WALL RAW "With it!!" Get so into the music & unleash something 
unplaned(Warnning-people will be awhed & oohed with shock because they never seen you do 
that move before-(Because you just unlocked a new move naturally-congats)

This is my opinion on types of B-Boy FLAVORS:Like zodiac signs, anyone can be all of these.
A)sILENT kILLER(By the old school book, does the moves the way it was traditionally done 
with killer agles.
B)Style Head(Got lots of characters & has his their own Unique STEEZ Down-it is clearly 
their flow).
C)Freestyler-Just doesn't give a F about what needs to be done & Just does it their 
way -A true artist at play.

TRUE HIP-HOP pays homage to the 4 ELEMENTS: 
1-Disc Jockey/DJ(Provides the beat & rythems)
2-Mic Man/Host/Rapper (Gathers the masses & narates & organizes the event & sets the pace at a JAM).
3-B-BOYS/GIRLS/Breaker/Dancer/Get'n down (Creates visual stimulations & artistic acompany to the 
music to inspire or amuse the crowd.)
4)Graffiti Arts (Real Masterpeaces that tell a Story-not quick vandelizing grade school throw ups).

Credentials:
Besides Street Credits, one will eventually experience the history if they stay in this culture long enough.
Here is some name dropping of Legends/Pioneers/Founding Father/Contributors to the scene. Without them, the 
inspiration for the culture would not be where it is today. Honor their contribution by respecting where they 
were comming from. It is hard to do that if one does not fully understand their past history & movement to
enrich & inspire this great culture.
